 その数年間に、子供はさまざまな影響と暗示をうける。それらの影響と暗示は、子 供が本来持つもろもろの欲望や傾向と、真っ向から対立する。その結果、子供のここ ろの深奥に、抑圧や葛藤、そして精神外傷が生ずる。

あるいは、抑圧や葛藤や精神外傷を避けて、こころの深奥(無意識層の中)に逃げこんでしまう場合もある。 しかしこ れらのものは、そこにいつまでもじっとおとなしくひそんでいるということはない。

表面に出る機会をつねにうかがっているのである。子供自体はもちろんのこと、おと なになってからも、かれはそれらのことをなにも思い出せないし、気づきもしない。

しかし、かれが気づかなくても、それらはかれの行動にたえず影響をおよぼし、かれ を動かしているのである。

それらの抑圧された無意識のなかの諸傾向は、けっして消滅するという こ と は な い。こころの奥ふかく社会的習慣の背後に身をひそめ、思いがけないきっかけを利用 して外にあらわれてくる。

そのあらわれかたはさまざまで、ときには、遊戯、戦争、迫害、犯罪などのかたち ではげしくほとばしり出たり、あるいは、なんでもないような出来ごとのなかに隠れ て象徴的なかたちで、あるいは、満たされない欲望に禁じられた満足をあたえる夢と なり、あるいは言いまちがい、失錯行為、神経症的行動、さらには精神病となって浮 かびあがってくるのである。と。

トラウマ

このフロイトの理論のなかの さまざまな影響と暗示』のなかに、リポット・ソン ディのいう「特殊な祖先の欲求」つまり、霊障のホトケによる抑圧があるとわたくし は考えるのである。その結果、子供のこころの深奥に、抑圧や葛藤、そして精神外傷 が生ずる。あるいは、抑圧や葛藤や精神外傷を避けて、こころの深奥 (無意識の中) に逃げこんでしまう場合もある。

しかし、これらのものは、そこにいつまでもじっと おとなしくひそんでいるということはない。表面に出る機会をつねにうかがっている のである。

しかし、こういう抑圧と葛藤の暗い谷間を、苦しみながらさまよいつづけている不 幸な人びとが、じつに多くいるのである。あなたの周囲にも、かならず何人かいるは ずである。いや、あなた自身がそうであるかも知れない。そういう不幸なひとたちは どうしたらいいのか?

おそるべき~運命の反覆

こういうひとたちの苦しみは、そうでないひとたちにはまったく不可解なものであ るといってよい。とうてい理解できないであろう。

その内面世界はつねに暗鬱であり、絶望感に覆われている。得態の知れない焦燥感 にかられてつねにいらいらしている。これという理由もなしに、突然、すさまじい怨 恨の情や憤怒の念にかりたてられたり、一転して悲しみのどん底にたたき落とされたり。
